Description: Bai Lu, whose real name is Bai Mengyan, was born on September 23rd, 1994 in Changzhou, Jiangsu. She is an actress and model in Mainland China. In July 2016, Bai Lu was the female lead in the music video of Lu Hu's single "Message". In September, Bai Lu starred in her first TV series "Zhaoge", thus officially entering the acting industry. In 2017, Bai Lu appeared in the period drama "Untouchable Lovers" directed by Li Huizhu in which she played double roles, Huo Xuan, a female general, and Le Yun, a ruthless and scheming concubine of the royal family. In June, Bai Lu starred in the drama version of "The Monkey King: Land of Beauty", playing the role of Wu Shuang, a beautiful and generous but brutal and domineering demon catcher. In August, Bai Lu appeared in the romantic comedy "King is Not Easy" written by Yu Zheng, in which she played the role of Dan Xi, a savage and pretty cook. She also sang the theme song of the drama, "Subordinate Takes Order". In the same year, she appeared in the period Xianxia drama "The Legends" in which she played the role of a domineering female demon, Lu Zhaoyao. In 2018, Bai Lu starred in the modern romance drama "Lucky's First Love" in which she played the role of Xing Yun, a bright, aggressive, competent, and intelligent career girl. In December, Bai Lu won the Newcomer award for "Untouchable Lovers". On August 6th, 2019, the drama which she starred as Xie Xiang, "Arsenal Military Academy", was broadcasted. In October, she was nominated as Best Actress (Web Series) for the drama in the 6th The Actors of China Award Ceremony. On November 21st, she starred in the modern romance idol drama "Love is Sweet" as Jiang Jun. In September 2020, "Love is Sweet" aired. On October 1st, she participated in the 2020 Jiangshan National Day Concert and sang "Youth". On October 20, Bai Lu won the Best Actress (Web series) award at the 7th The Actors of China Award Ceremony. On October 23rd, "Jiu Liu Overlord" in which she starred as Long Aoyi aired.

Chinese drama Story of Kunning Palace is adapted from Shi Jing's novel A Lady's Tranquility. It is directed by Zhu Ruibin (Ashes of Love), starring Bai Lu (Ordinary Greatness, One and Only), Zhang Linghe (Love Between Fairy and Devil, Flourish in Time), and Wang Xingyue (Delicacies Destiny). Jiang Xue Ning (played by Bai Lu) had gone to great lengths to become empress, but was forced to commit suicide during a palace mutiny. Now, Jiang Xue Ning's dream is to get away from power and have control over her own life. However, by mistake, she has joined the palace as a tutor and becomes a student of the imperial master Xie Gui (played by Zhang Linghe). While receiving Xie Gui's teachings, Jiang Xue Ning secretly plans to stop Yan Lin's (played by Zhou Junwei) upcoming "Blood Crown Ceremony." With Jiang Xue Ning and Xie Gui's plan, the Yan family's lives were saved. "Ordinary Greatness" is directed by Ding Hei ("Goddess of Mercy", "The Qin Empire 2") as the chief director, and co-directed by Bao Chengzhi ("The Flowers and Distant Place"), Fu Cexin ("Rebirth For You"). The drama also stars Zhang Ruoyun ("Wu Xin: The Monster Killer", "Snow Leopard") and Bai Lu ("One and Only", "Love is Sweet"). In this drama, director Ding Hei returns to direct a new era police drama 18 years after his classic "Goddess of Mercy". The story revolves around Li Dawei (played by Zhang Ruoyun), Xia Jie (played by Bailu), Yang Shu (played by Xu Kaicheng), and Zhao Jiwei (played by Cao Lu), four fledgling police trainees, telling the story of how they were in a "highly happening police station," the Balihe Police Station in the city of Pingling. Under the guidance of the old police along with the various cases that happened, this tells the story of these four police maturing to become a qualified police for the people. Four young new police officers from Balihe police station – Li Dawei, a "thorn head" who was forcibly sent to the police school by his parents because he was too rebellious; Yang Shu, a rigid and upright person who have received a masters of law from Peking University; Xia Jie, a girl with a sensitive personality who inherited her father's will to become a police officer; and Zhao Jiwei, who comes from the countryside and just heads straight on.
